As my time in Gabon continues to wind down, I think more and more about how hard it is going to be to say goodbye. As foreign as this country may have been when I first got here, and even now, it is a place that I have grown to love like my own home. The people that I’ve met and the things that I’ve experienced here have all humbled me beyond my greatest expectations. Knowing that after this week, it’ll all be just a memory hurts so deeply. The people and country of Gabon will forever be with me, for I will always keep them in my heart, thoughts and prayers. Regardless of how far away I may be, Gabon will always be my second home.
